There is nothing more miserable in the world than to arrive in paradise and look like your passport photo

      Dear fellow visitors and potential,

Where do we start with a hotel that caters for all of the needs along with a view that is breathtaking every sunrise and every sunset. I believe you find this in Paradise. Now the hotel itself is how should we say is basic but basic is all you need. If you plan to spend all day in the hotel room then why are you on a vacation? I personally have stayed in some very bad hotels this was above and beyond what is needed for a nice nights sleep. If you have ever been to the Greek islands you will know how tough it can get without aircon, no flushing of loo roll and a shower that is the whole bathroom without a curtain - oh and wait twice the price of a night here.

      So in summary:-

      - Cheap
      - Cheerful
      - Clean
      - Amazing views
      - Friendly staff
      - A good atmosphere
      - Nice rooms

But that is only the hotel you sleep there spend the day on the beach which is on your doorstep and the waves crashing at night, you really cannot go wrong. See you next year for Spring Break!

I recommend a nice ice cold beer whilst the sunsets + plus the fridge in the room keeps these cold for you all day long.

PS I read a review about Service - Yes they come early but who wants to lay in bed all day? A polite no thanks and they were on their way without any hassle. They were lovely!

We visited the very large " Power Plant" in Tampa at which at least a hundred manatees were floating in the warm waters that expel out into the Gulf as a result of the coal burning process for power.
They can only survive in waters 68 degrees or above so this has been a lucky find for these 1000lb ...

We wanted to check out Dead Lake which was touted as a great boating place - and I am sure it would be fascinating if you didn't get so lost among the dead cypress that you never came out again. We also tried on and bought a new mask and snorkel to replace the one left in the Dominican Republic. The spare we had and tried when snorkeling in Statia just didn't fit right and made snorkeling miserable. Better to get a good mask that fits ...

Thanksgiving is the major holiday here in America. It is held on the last Thursday of November. Generally workers get a four day weekend which gives them time to visit family. It is the busiest time of the year on the roads and for the airlines.

This year they are worried about the severe weather that could be coming to some parts on the Wednesday before.

One of the reasons we decided to stay was ...

Miles driven so far = 11,155

We have been "lounging" here on the white sand beaches for past few days. We drove 424 miles from Savannah on north Georgia coast down through Jacksonville then across thru Tallahassee (Florida State University) over to pan handle then south to Grayton Beach State Park which is 40 miles NW of Panama City.

This little gem lies in between towns with multitudes of high rise condos, ...
