Day started cold and miserable looking with lots of fog drifting through the grounds and between the cabins. Stuffed around a bit in the hope it would clear up and it did! Beautiful sunny day by the time we rocked up at Lake Louise around 11am. Booked our big canoe tour for tomorrow morning (Julia happy) then set off along the lake. Today's …
Feeling much better after a big sleep. No noisy ice machines or people hollering in the hallway last night. Ironically Julia who slept like a baby through all that noise the previous night in Whistler, didn't sleep as well here - too quiet!

The log cabins were warm with gas fire and full catering facilities including micro-wave and fridge. However I think there are a lot of cheaper and better located cabins in the area. Even the Chateau had cheaper drop in rates for a room and these were alongside the lake and the hotel 5 star. Not good value to me as we had 3 nights in Bellagio in Vegas for $100 per night cheaper.
