    Expensive accomodation

The log cabins were warm with gas fire and full catering facilities including micro-wave and fridge. However I think there are a lot of cheaper and better located cabins in the area. Even the Chateau had cheaper drop in rates for a room and these were alongside the lake and the hotel 5 star. Not good value to me as we had 3 nights in Bellagio in Vegas for $100 per night cheaper.

Wow! Lake Louise was beautifully but I guess I feel more moved by the rugged untouched landscapes. We drove a bit further to lake moraine even though the …

Day started cold and miserable looking with lots of fog drifting through the grounds and between the cabins. Stuffed around a bit in the hope it would clear up and it did! Beautiful sunny day by the time we rocked up at Lake Louise around 11am. Booked our big canoe tour for tomorrow morning (Julia happy) then set off along the lake. Today's …

We quickly ran outside and took photos of the Lake with the Mountain range behind it and then spun around to take a photo of the Chateau then to add to the excitement it started to snow, could this day get ...
