... at a restaurant along the main highway in Gulf Shores. I had shrimp with a side order of fried green tomatoes and enjoyed it very much.
The next day we transferred to another Holiday Inn Hotel in Foley, AL. By staying in 2 different Holiday Inn's we were able to accumulate 12,000 points. Applebee's had a hamburger plate special that we took advantage of. There wasn't much to do in Foley. We arose early to head back to Lufkin for the week. ...
We asked around for idea's of places we could go with the pooches. We got a unanimous - Pirates Cove!
Okay, that is where we shall go then.
But first...a stroll around the beach here at the KOA.
PC is a small cove with an old bar/"restaurant" on it. We were told we would get the best greasy burger we've ever had there. Challenge accepted!
The burgers are pretty good! (So was the drink)
... must say, Mike is a getting really good at driving this big rig in the heavy rains.
We made it into Pensacola, Florida, shortly before sunset, and what a pretty one it was too! We didn't realize that this is where the Blue Angels are from. They have pretty cool artwork on the freeway overpasses for them.
