LA for the even more sleep deprived

A travel blog entry by raymarietinetti

... chilly so we sat inside at the bar. Marie had a cocktail or two and chatted to the bartender (f). I had a jalapeno margarita - hot and sour with a bruised slice of chili in it. Interesting but I don't think I'll order another.
We were back in the room by about 9 and Marie was in bed by 9.10. By the time I had read some facebook and written day 1 of this blog it was 10.30. Not really an early night.

Starting Alex's adventure in Bluefields

A travel blog entry by douglasmad815

Today was a long day and tomorrow will be even longer and harder for Alex as he will be going to Bluefields, he'll have to be at the airport at 5AM for a 6:15 flight. The flight to Managua was smooth, but uneventful, one stop in Houston to change planes. As you know we recently went to Turkey on Turkish airlines, the difference in services was far superior to that of United, a world of difference. In Houston we had lunch as we knew that United would not give us any meal ...

LA Story (a comedy of errors)

A travel blog entry by hipdhop

Miss you ...

... none of the locals knew how to play darts properly. The touristy ye olde British shoppe, or whatever it was, had Yorkshire tea too, which was a nice bonus. So that was Santa Monica. "It's a bit like Brighton but with less gays" - as a wise man once summarised. I've found that on this trip you can just turn a corner and stumble upon an absolutely beautiful part of the city. It's incredible. But you can also end up in the ghetto. LA exemplified this. I caught myself ...

Universal Studios.

A travel blog entry by wadhwani

So here we are at our second amusement park: Universal. Disney busy? Try this place - it's heaving people! More so since the Minions ride has opened up today and half of CA is flocking to see it. We decided to gamble (after all, we're off to Vegas in 2 days) and not buy the Express pass at $172 per person (that would have been £450 for the family - is a day out REALLY worth that ??) and so ...
