Tyndall Air Force Base visit
... and my travelling partner and his family (brother and father) have flown in all the airplanes. It was pretty exciting to see, and also to hear all the fighters fly overhead. Today I saw flying in the pattern, an F-4 Phantom, Several F-15 Eagles, F-22 Raptors and F-16 Fighting Falcons. They make a nice rumbly noise that I hear all the way down into my tummy!
Go Air Force!

Day Eight - The Florida Panhandle
... interesting, older beach villages and then suburban shopping areas. After a three mile bridge, I was in Pensacola. I stopped at the Visitor Centre and they recommended a funky hotel within walking distance of the historic area. I watched some pelicans diving for their lunch, rode to the hotel to check in and then walked around the historic city. ...
Day before going home.. :(
... watching something on TV... then went to the gym to sweat out some of the previous day's alcohol. When i got back, my scalp got a little too much sun... so I stayed in and got some work done on my laptop.... it was a much needed catch up... and I was more than happy not to be in the sun as my head is tender!
Later that night, we went to Angelos Steak House (a landmark in PCB) for some steak... it was SO good... I ...
I got sunshine......
... have had some very awkward folks up there... After several pick up attempts, I think I convinced most that I was "happily in a relationship" as I was not at all interested in anything other than hanging out with my boys (per usual), but it was a pretty decent crowd... and we did meet some genuinely nice guys. Finally got out of there around 1 and went home to crash... but not before hitting up some waffle house.... another right of passage after going to gross PCB bars... :)

Take me down to Panama City...
... it, but I had to go.... so I went... and them promptly cleaned myself in hand sanitizer... It was a hole in the wall, which was fun... not very crowded.... and right on the water. We got there just in time as a storm hit just as we were walking in. By the time we were finished, we were borderline food coma.... so we just went back and passed the hell out... its hard work being driven around all day. :)

Historical Traveler Reviews Paradise Found Resort and Hotel Panama City Beach
Not Bad
Stayed for two nights. The rooms have a gorgeous view of the ocean. They are a little outdated but clean. Only down side was the fact that the maid did not come and clean the room everyday. But if you are looking for a place to sleep and a great view at a good price I would recommend it. I would stay there again. The fact that the maid didnt clean my room wasnt that big of a deal to me.
All in all it was suitable for what we needed
My husband and I stayed at the Ramada this past weekend August 18-22. The rooms were clean. All the rooms are beachfront so I would request for a room by one of the pools. We ended up way on the west side and had to lug everything everytime we wanted to go to the pool. They have several walkways to the beach which was nice. The pools were nice. The waterfall pool was very cold. The hot tub was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the elevator oh and the fact we had to call housekeeping to come clean our room the 2nd day we were there. It seems they just passed our room up but after that no problems. The continential breakfast was ok. We got there late but there was still a bunch of different cereals, oatmeal, doughnuts and fruit. We got a good deal so we can't complain. All in all it was suitable for what we needed and the beach is beautiful.
Tile floors is better for beaches
Listen, there is no carpet in the room because of the sand. It is a good idea to put tile on the floors in beachy areas so it does not smell later on! Use your common sense. My stay was fine. I don't understand why people have to GRIPE over the smallest things.
Loved the motel!!
was there the week of june14-18, the motel was beautiful, the view was breath taking!! the staff was very helpful, would recommend to anyone, when i go back, i will come here, no other motel!!
We'll be back!!!!!!!
I just got back from Spring Break 2004 @ the Ramada inn and loved it!!! The rooms were decent, but with exceptional views!!! The front desk was great about having people come and swim in the pool, and they also had a ton of spring break activities going on during the day. You also can hang at the Days Inn and party there!!!!! Spring Break 2005 I'll be back!!
Good Times
The room isn't great, but the rooms have great views. There isn't any carpet but that is probably for the better considering all the sand that we tracked in. For Spring Break 2003 this was a great location.
They had bands and stuff set up for us on the beach; College Network was there filming their events that were right behind the hotel.
Harpoon Harry's and another club are right next door, so is Hooters.
They always have activities on the beach for everyone. We played volleyball everyday on the beach. Good Times.
Never Again
I was very dissappointed. Our room leaked and we were only offered extra towels from housekeeping to soak up the water. They didn;t empty the ashtrays when they cleaned, we requested an extra chair for porch and never got it, they did't leave shampoo, soap or coffee for the next day. Phone was cut off when it gets to 20.00 without notice, the attendents at night were so ugly when i asked them about it , we just went and bought a cell phone. Days Inn is much nicer than this motel was.+
VERY NICE
I stayed here and I loved it. The rates were not bad,a nd the room was very clean. know there is no carpet, ut we are talking about the beach. Carpet is to much to maintain. Anyway. The room was very spacious and it had one of the best pools around. There is also a great deck, and laundry facilities. There is even a PizzaHu on the property.
Very deceiving
This hotel's outside appearance and website description was very deceiving. The hotel has no carpet in the rooms, a loose balcony rail in the room we checked into, the elevator didn't work, there was trash and beer cans all over the grounds, and the last straw was when my 4 year old screamed because a bug crawled out of the drain in the bathtub. We stayed for all of one hour before checking out. The only thing good I can say is that the staff was friendly and did not charge us a dime. We checked into the Boardwalk Beach Resort Howard Johnson that same day, it was cheaper, nicer, and more family oriented by far.
We stayed there!
The room was not as nice as expected, boasting only one garbage can, one porch chair, and no fridge or microwave for more than $100 per night. The beach view is beautiful and there are 2 pools, one of which has a great waterfall. Housekeeping was lax, neglecting to leave cups, and do other usually expected chores.
