... misses a good opportunity. Supper was deliciously made up of spicy papaya salad and some flat pork and chicken meat on a stick. This was complemented with a dish we have never had before. They take a rice ball that is deep fried, about the size of a tennis ball, which gets broken up into a bowl, some noodles are added, peanuts, some magic sauces, and all this is mixed together and presented to you with quite a bit of dried chilies on the side. Pretty good, not great though. Dessert ...

At some point during the course of the day, it gradually dawned on me that the knot in the pit of my stomach, that has been there for a million years plus, or so it seemed, has quietly taken its leave. Somewhere over the last few days this knot, which sometimes felt as large as a monkey’s fist (nautical term, i.e. a knot to weight the end of a heaving line) dissolved into nothingness, zip, zero, nada, what a liberating realization.

So seen as it was on our way we thought it was worth visiting. And so it was, it was like temples we had never seen before, more Indian looking I thought but don't quote me on that. We took a few pictures and had a look around, this site was not too fussed about our shorts and vests. Time had moved so quickly and it was getting on to dinner ...

... After eating we moved and sat on bean bags on the decking and watched all the lights flickering below, it was beautiful. When it came to paying we both took a gulp thinking about the price but we had a grand total of 2100 baht so £40 or near enough, would of probably cost near enough £100 maybe even more at home for that. After staying up there around 4/5 hours we decided to head back down to the hotel so I could Skype home. Skyping wasn't as easy as planned, the hotel wifi ...
