... helpful lady explained that Katrina wiped out the 90 homes on Highway 90 as well as many others on 2nd through 5th avenue were destroyed from wind or water damage or storm surge in Gulfport as well as the bridge we just travelled!!

I think we all associate Katrina with New Orleans flooding when dykes failed & flooded 80% of New Orleans. ...

We stayed at a free overnight camping spot where a woman was camping with her multiple cats that just kind of followed her around. They were very friendly. We started the morning off by trying to visit the San Francisco Plantation on the Mississippi River. I wanted to see how the old plantations fared in Katrina and it would be nice to see it again after several years. ... everyone to see some pics. This morning was amazing. we got up early and was sitting on the beach watching the sunrise at 6am. Everyone was enthusiastic and God was BIG. We saw him screaming at us through creation and whispering to us in our devotions. It was a great time and gave us a real jump start to the day.
