Arrival in Sri Lanka!
by Karl
We arrived from KL (Kuala Lumpur) late in the evening after a 3 hour flight - but we had been up for 16 hours due to some poorly timed flights and connections, as well as Air Asia's inflexible policy regarding moving flights (looong story!). All of Air Asia's morning flights leave at the same time (6:00AM), so everyone walked across the asphalt to where all the Air Asia planes were parked (including the pilots).

We finally caught up with the vehicle and then began the process of explaining to the students that we all really needed a toilet. They managed to find us one up a dark alley belonging to an obliging lady which ...

They certainly get a lot more work than we do (or did?) in Queensland. I sat down and did some homework of my own - I worked on my Chinese, which, as usual, is progressing terribly. While studying, I gave Sunethra the 'teapods' which I bought in Ratnapura to try. They were a bit of a flop, although I'm still not sure how 'Oolong' tea (as it said ...
