Paradise Bay Resort St. David

Tuesday - Finally after not seeing them since early December 2008 our things from the UK have arrived! It wasnt all plain sailing though. Firstly, it began to rain last night and was still pretty wet when the van was due to arrive at midday. We all had aa brilliant ride and arrived baack to Puponga round 3-30 hours later safe and sound.Today we went over to the West Coast to see a blue whale that had been washed up at Te Hapu, this is an hours drive from Pakawau and when we reached the beach we had another hours walk to get to the place it it had been washed up - we checked ...

... winds in and out of the coastline which drops down to little secluded beaches. There is rainshowers everywhere and fantastic rainbows. We descend the steep path to rainbow beach and are rewarded with a secluded little inlet with about 3 other people and a kayak cruising along on the water - a short break for lunch and we'll have to head back.
