We have had the most relaxing, wonderful stay here at the Paradise Palms Resort & Country Club....

Our apartment is spacious, well appointed and the views over the pool and golf course are unbeatable!

The staff are really friendly and professional, and the facilities are fantastic, especially for the kids. There are two great pools, both with kiddies pools, mini golf and amazing adventure playground.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a break away from it all, especially if they love golf, as there is a world class golf course at this resort!

Next back over the Daintree River Ferry Crossing (60 cars and trucks in front of us). Onto Port Douglas where we had dinner (I didn't eat as the pumpkin salad was going to take 1.25 hrs to prepare). Then we walked along the street, down to the beach, then back in the car and drove home. Home at ...

... made full use of the public BBQ for dinner and sat by the beach eating dinner as the sun went down. That same evening I took another overnight bus up to Cairns for my last 2 full days in Australia. I spent the first day wandering around town, lying by the gorgeous lagoon and buying the final few souvenirs. My final day in Australia though was the icing on the cake of a fantastic 6 weeks. I took a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef and went snorkelling. The boat was ...

We also went and spent a bit of time in the afternoon in the lagoon. I don't think it was as nice as the one in Airlie Beach as the outlook was nothing like the whitsundays but it was still nice to lay next to for the afternoon. The cyclone conditions started to catch up on us though and every ...

At our destination the boat was attached to floating moorings and we all got to choose snorkel masks or scuba gear for an extra charge. Rosamund got some extra attention with instructions and donning snorkel mask and massive flippers. Four of us eased ourselves off the large step at the back of the boat and swam with one hand on a life ring while a guide pulled. The ...
