To day we are in Cannes and going on a tour to Monaco and Monte Carlo. We had two hours to explore Monaco, we walked through the Exotic Gardens overlooking the sea which had spectular views of the harbour and all the many expensive yachts. The water was clear as crystal. The gardens led to the Palace where we saw the changing of the guards. It was not as impressive as in photos I have seen. Dominating the old town is ...

... I pulled out the sofa bed and tried to get a good rest so I could meet the next day head on. Didn't quite happen. The "bed" is maybe, MAYBE, three inches thick and the pillows are lumpy little deflated sacks of old stuffing. Not conducive for a good rest. My back has been sore since that night.

Good thing I don't live ...

... saw in a three block radius. The shops were all high end and it was like we were in a while new we couldn't afford. We saw a photo shoot going on, so who knows if I'll see the add for whatever the girl was selling. We walked through the casino when it opened and it was nothing like Vegas, that's for sure! The inside was pretty and very historic almost. It was like you went back in time when you went inside. After walking around the casino we ...

... nearly €300 baggage charge. OMG can you believe it? Yes they had 4 big bags but that would have been 1/4 of the price if paid at time of booking heir tickets. Really a good reminder or warning to check you have done this especially with the lower cost airlines and tickets, as you are stuck once you get to the airport with your luggage. We paid an extra €10 each for our two bags at the time of booking!

Our flight went well - it was very short, only a ...
