Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands claraklaverWe picked mum up and headed out of the rain towards Arnhem. The Openluchtmuseum is a collection of old buildings from all over the Netherlands. They show life at different times from 300 years ago to the present and they range from the wealthy farmer to the peasant's turf hut. There are also various trades shown and it is a working museum in that sense. There is a blacksmith and a weaver; an oil mill, a cheese dairy, as well as a ...
Arnhem, Netherlands rachelkw... The next weekend I went to Den Hague, Holland. I had a generous offer to stay at the sister's of a friend of mine from UW-Stout. The sister, her husband and their two young boys live in an apartment overlooking the North Sea. It was absolutely beautiful! The first day there, Heather (the friend I brought with- from New York) and I walked all the way from the central station to the apartment on the sea which turned out to be 15 miles. It was a bit longer than we ...
Arnhem, Netherlands seawellk... were in a hurry to see all the living statues scattered throughout the city and entertain them with my unique brand of street comedy. The images are courtesy of Frank Bours who was so fascinated with my show that he stayed at my spot to photograph for almost the entire day. He kindly sent me the images later without me even asking, which is an indication of Dutch people's amazing generousity. Thanks Frank! Stillman Theater: Living Statue Comedy ∼ www.stillman.info
Arnhem, Netherlands showme... know.. shocking huh? And very un-me-like). And can you hear the negativeness in my voice? It's the weather! It's the cold! It's the RAIN! But, nevertheless, there are lots and lots of exciting things waiting to happen! Next next weekend - on the 9th June, we're going to Germany! yay! We're going to do a little road trip to Maik's hometown where apparently the people there are soccer-crazy. We'll be driving in two cars, and all ten of us ...

Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands lesterenanne... volgend jaar pas weer zie! Hou me op de hoogte he?! :-D

Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands cb_goes_again... eng. Ik vroeg me even af waarom ook alweer.
Arnhem, Gelderland, Netherlands cb_goes_againYeah, Holland is an adventure. We ended up going to find a restaraunt last night, and found one with a great waiter, named Mark. He helped us find a hotel where they had rooms we could move to (although not until today, so last night was quite the adventure in the hostel). The reason this town of Utrecht is so full right now is that we have managed to land ...
Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands elizabessie... buildings. The exterior had the most peculiar materials. The architect used drainage grates as an exterior material and used them in different orientations to create a pattern. This building used all facades and took advantage of all opportunities and made this a great building to experience. After seeing more of the university, we decided it was time to leave for Amsterdam. We were back on the road again.
