Papas Beach Apartments Stalís

Our first view of Crete was of mountains rising in sheer walls from the sea as we approached this Mediterranean jewel (the most southerly of the Greek Islands) late on a Monday morning.(Nov 9). We arrived in the town, Chania, to discover there were no buses to anywhere near our hotel and we would have to catch a taxi. To complicate matters, Mark discovered that we had lost the credit card. The palace grounds were bought from the Turks in 1900, by a British archaeologist, Harold Evans, and he spent the next 35 years investigating and restoring (controversially) the ruins. I am taking the over ngiht ferry to Athens on thursday arrivi9ng at 6 AM aghhhh I am going to ehad over to the hostel right away and leave my bag there I am so excited to walk down the streets I walked for 5 weeks and to smell the smells and to eat the food and to see if I recognize anyone!

So I get back to the hostel and it is already WORLD news- Lindsey are you ok blah blah blah I wasn like yeah i's no problem yes he is a weird guy with a I am from another country complex but please do NOT think that I can not be there for myself. Through a series of unfortunate events, this is the sole remaining picture of our magical day in Crete. In all of my genius I deleted the Crete and Turkey photos by accident and boy was that ever a sad day. Of course the first thing I did after getting home from the cruise was upload the Sbux series to Facebook, so now the Starbucks photo is the only one left of Crete :(
