Sistene Chapel, Wow, simply amazing
I knew that I was going to see the Sistine Chapel once I decided that I was going to be in Rome. As I was planning my trip, I came across the "Vatican City" website and found out that I could purchase my ticket online before I left the US. I am so very glad I did. After arriving in Rome and seeing the Coliseums one day, the next day was the big day …
See this with your own eyes
When in Rome, do what the Romans do which I did. It was the one item that was on my "Bucket" list that was a must do wile in Rome. I had planned on staying in Tome just two days so I had to make a choice as to what I really wanted to see in that amount of time. I knew the "Coliseum was one of them. I arrived late at night, went to my Hotel room, …
Rome Again
October 26, 2005 Rome (Kim) We returned to Italy for the next leg of our visit with Jackie and Dennis. We knew it was going to be alot more hectic than Paris as our plan was to travel the length of Southern Italy not staying anymore than 2 days in any one place. If I had to pick a theme for our Italian week this go around I would dub it the 'Week …
Rome
Arrived in Rome on time and was met by a driver who took us to our hotel- Papa Germano. The route from the airport took us through the city past Circus Maxima and many other of the sights. A bit like a free city tour. The hotel is pretty close to the Station, from whence we were to travel to Orvieto the following day but we decided to check it out …
A Feast for the Senses!
How many times in your life can you say you've gone to Rome for the weekend? We certainly never thought we’d be able to. And yet, here we are!
We flew in from Athens on Thursday and a whole new round of pinch-me-itis set in. Driving into the old center on the Airport Shuttle meant narrows roads between tall, Victorian row-housing, …

I really like this place even though I was put in a 6 bed dorm with males. Go Figuer. There was a mess up at booking and I did not want to pay the additional funds for a private room. I didn't mind, i mean I wouldn't be walking around the room in my BVD's. The room was nice with comfy beds. I was by the sink so there were these little packets of shampoo and soap that I put in my luggage right away. I did have to ask for a towel but that was not a problem. I arrived very late at night and the attendant directed me to a small late-night resturant across the street where I could get something to eat. Came back and went to bed. Next day, I was informed that there is an "all you can eat" buffet breakfast in the dinning area. I went and dove right in. Nicely appointed room with a large flat panel TV. The reception area had a nice sitting area with computers and a rather large reading library. They hand out maps to the city to help your get around. Overall nice place to stay and within a few blocks of the bus/train station/

Excellent location close to Termini Station. We walked everywhere. Fairly quiet at night. Clean. Dorm rooms a bit cramped. Double room very nice and cheaper than dorm, per person. Free breakfast with dorm room. No access to kitchen.
