So we arrived on the island of Koh Tao, and were told it would cost 200 Bart to get a taxi, so we accepted the offer when a lady was selling her hotel with a free taxi ride there,it's so expensive here!! We are paying like double what we've been paying everywhere else! It's where people come to learn to dive and get their padi dive licence as it's really cheap, it's not for me,I tried it at the Great Barrier Reef ...

... torch each and at one point we all turned our lights off. When you move your arms around in the dark, you see lots of little glow in the dark things that look like fire flies. ... reef and dive site.
Unfortunately for us when we went down there the visibility was not amazing however we did get chance to see the ship, look around it and even peek inside although until we are certified wreck divers (which is now appealing) we cannot go inside for safety reasons.

Once back on the shore, Adam signed us all off and gave us temporary cards until our real ones arrive back home. For now though (until the next course) we are advanced divers!

A long bus journey

We had booked the bus to get down to the ferry port at Surat Thani the bus was over an hour late and we soon realised we had messed up as bus after bus to ko samui turned up. Stuck with our previous days decision we eventually got on our bus. It eventually dropped us at the main bus terminal in Surat Thani and we were surrounded by taxi drivers all ...
