... and restaurants are and had a few drinks. I didn't realise this is the island where those poor two English people were killed!!! We went to the bar where it supposedly happened and it's right on the beach and I was just staring at it, thinking of what happened, must have been terrible. Apparently they usually only have 6 police officers on the island and now have 280 all plain clothed and undercover, you saw ...

We had an early 8am pick up from the Perhentian Islands where we got a speed boat back to Kuala besut. We had to switch speed boats about 3 times, no idea why. We then got a taxi to Sungai Kolok where we were going to cross the Thai border. The taxi journey was 1.5 hours and cost less than 20! He didn't know that we were planning to come to Thailand, and we had no idea he was going to be here (neither did he), so it was cool having someone to explore Bangkok with. After saying goodbye to Max, Jason and I had to prepare to say goodbye to each other for a few weeks. On July 1st I will ...

... told we will be down for about 45 mins, which sounded like far too long to me but I would give it a go. This dive was even better, no panics and we saw angel fish and sting rays etc. It isn't the best diving spot in the world as some of the coral is dead and the fish aren't all bright colours but Joe was really good at pointing out things to see. I didn't completely relax because my mind was racing and concentrating on breathing, so when it was to do a safety ...

... going nuts over the game. On our way home we stopped to enjoy some of the fire shows, which were pretty much going on at every bar along the beach. This involves a man juggling two flaming sticks. Really awesome to watch but you have to fear for the guys. After Koh Tao we realized to find our castaway beach we'd need to search, as just showing up on the island won't cut it. So we spent time researching and reading about the beaches on our next island, neighbouring Koh ...
