... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

... citta vecchia and dove autobus. He points me in the right direction and says 1A bus. We find our way to the stop and are on our way. As we climb, we are glad we did not walk this as our feet are a little sore from all the walking in Milano I also realize that it is not called Citta vecchia or old town but rather Citta alta or the town above, upper Bergamo. ... praying. Fair enough we thought, so we happily snapped away with the rest of the world who were gathered in this holy place. There was plenty to photograph too, but I fear that no photos will ever do justice to the beauty within it's walls. There are a series of stained glass windows, that go right up to the sky almost, and each frame within the panels depicts a book of the bible, every book is covered and it's just a riot of colour!
