... We opted for the centre near the museums, which was an odd choice given there's no chance Gem (let alone Bardy) would visit a museum. As ever, is was searingly hot, there was no breeze and the Tarmac felt hot through my flip flops. We scurried down a few back streets and managed to find some shade and some giant drums lying around (see photo). ... bus north of KB to the Tumpat district to visit a couple of Buddhist temples there. Although nothing special or amazing it was strange just seeing them in a predominantly Muslim country where you normally just see mosques. Back in KB i then called in at a Tesco superstore on the outskirts of town just to compare it with our own. Surprisingly there wasn’t a great deal of difference with the goods and produce on display and for sale.
