... or just has the same name... The drive up it was pretty crazy, it was a little bendy road up the side of the mountain. It went past a waterfall which was mostly frozen over and was very impressive. We also took a gondola there to the top of the mountain from where we were practicing but we didn't ski down because it looked very steep! We have our rental stuff for another day so I think we are going up another slope tomorrow to give that a shot.

Hell!!! All this way only to find this! Why don't they put up boards at the
beginning warning tourists and others that the road ahead is closed?? Are we
suppose to smell that the road is closed??
Back down this wonderful road I head and into the magical town of

Finally I arrive into the town of Tarvisio and decide if there is a hotel
available then I will stay here as its just not worth riding in the dark. Sure
enough there are a few hotels and strangely enough the one I chose had a sign
outside saying "Bikers Welcome".
Booked in and bike parked safely in the garage it was time to relax and
think of my route through the Alps.
... the laptop fixed but it needs more time to find the problem so will have to wait till Salzburg. We have enjoyed our stay here but it has been made more difficult by not having wifi at the flat. That has been the only disappointment. Tomorrow we have a taxi booked for 10 and the train leaves at 11.40. Trip to Salzburg takes 2 hours and we are booked into the Goldenes Theater Hotel for 4 nights. Looking forward to Salzburg should be good. See you all there. Auf ...
Today we farewell Salzburg! Our plans were clear and simple. Leave our hotel by taxi to train station. Catch train at 10.12am to Villach . Once in Villach alight and take the bus to Venice. Simple! Not so simple if you miss the name of the station you are supposed to get off and just sit there chatting!
