... and woodland mushrooms. Feeling in need for a break from the heat, we ventured to Alesso to find a spot to swim in the river. After taking a wrong turn, Dale took us up a rather precarious mountain road to, literally, nowhere (yes, I did sing Talking Heads' 'Road to Nowhere' on our ascent). On Tuesday we drove from our little hotel in Faistenau, through the alps and mountain passes across the country to Lienz. We took the scenic route through all the little towns, past little water falls and up roads which look like they were only ever intended to be used by horses. ... where we shared out leftovers including: 2 marinated chicken wings from lunch, scrambled eggs from our last 4 eggs, a basic Caesar salad and a choccy bikky each for dessert.
