This is the last full day of Dubai. I think my over all experience has been pretty good but my favourite things were 1) wild wadi water park 2) the beach 3) the beach. Today I went to a gold souk and I bought an all gold bracelet. The colours of my bracelet are white gold, yellow gold and rose gold. Tomorrow I am going to Istanbul. The flight is only four hours from Dubai. The biggest thing of gold that I saw at the gold souk was a gold vest that was very ...

Boring old me chose toast and cereal....maybe tomorrow morning I'll be a little more adventurous. Nor, our guide (not sure how to spell it and it was a shortened version of a longer name which she didn't like because it sounds like 'ignore' in English)....anyway she picked us up at 9 am and we walked to ...

We sailed into Istanbul just after lunch and had another night to stay on board.
I strolled into the town and, being Sunday, had the opportunity to see the street stalls.
I was trying to buy a SIM card that would work throughout Europe but, no luck. Even a turkish one wasn't ...

Tuesday 26th June You see some funny things in Turkey. For example, pink is a nice colour in all its variations; pink, puce, purple, violet and so on. That is, until you paint it on a 3 storey building which is quite common practice here. Also, they love washing bus windows with an invention they must have adopted from Steve, the 'ideas man' from 'The Castle'. Yes, they have perfected the 'hose tied to the broom' trick up and down the whole of the west coast of Turkey. And, have ...
