... s what I call a good start to the day. I rest on my bed when I got back and I must have nodded off because when I opened my eyes it was 9.15am, I got packed and made my way to reception for checkout. There were three ladies on reception and all very polite, the reception manager was very chatty and inquired what hotel I worked at, this lead to a long conversation about my travels and future plans, I think they will be looking to travel soon as they were jealous that ...

... t apart from anything I get sea sick real easy so not much chance I will ever work on a ship. There were no options for getting back to the other side apart from through the tunnel again but it was a nice walk. I decided to walk back to the hotel for a warm as I was frozen to the bone now and shivering, I set off in the direction of the city centre but ...... Yes I got lost, not to much but the 30 mins journey ended up being 1 hour so now I was defiantly ready for a relax and ...

... gentleman asked if I needed help, I must have had that lost look on my face again, he was so helpful and we managed to communicate very well, he was speaking English much better than my German, we had a good chat and he gave me directions to the river and other attractions, what a true gentleman he was, I shook his hand and thanked him very much for his help. On my back to the hotel I was amazed to see dozens of police vehicles parked up and ...

... we could use the ticket
today. The driver and tour guide would not have a bar of this, we told them to
ring someone to confirm our argument, they gave us a telephone number to ring.
We responded by saying no, you ring. He did and we got the all clear. Phew,
hard work that, dealing Germans who spoke very little English. Another great
tour on the bus, and really worth fighting for, glad we did! ...
