Two evenings with Pearl Jam.... These were the two consecutive days that Sharon was dreading the most about our trip. But, finally they were here. We were seeing Pearl Jam live in Vienna and Zagreb. We met up with the Touring Bus people who we were travelling with between Vienna and Zagreb. They were a group of people (fanatics) who were travelling around the whole of Europe seeing pretty much every Pearl Jam show. The bulk of them were really nice people, a couple of weirdo's in there though...
Zagreb, Croatia clinto_shazaso arrived and had an interesting time at customs and on plane. clearly i wasn´t in enough of a hurry. nearly got pushed out of my seat when plane landed! then rosa and i were hurried up in queue but all okay in the end. got taxi to hotel which turns out to be a sheraton - much bigger room than in paris with at least 2 feet between oiur beds and table and chairs etc. We met up with rosa´mums cousin and her daughter (ruza and Martina) for coffee then we caught the tram into the city centre. n...

We've had a whirlwind of events and traveling the past few days. When we left Ljubljana, we took a train over to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Our first choice would have been to go to Rovinj, Croatia but we checked the weather and it was forecasted to be 50 degrees and cloudy for a few days. So going to a beach town probably wouldn’t have been the best idea. Instead, we settled on Zagreb because it was a good connection point to what we wanted to do the next day ...
Zagreb, Croatia mdaaI entered Beirut (Rafic Hariri) International Airport after a long, fun and very eventful night :) I felt very sad because I was having such a great time in Lebanon but at the same time I was anxious for what lay ahead.

I was running late and felt very stressed but to my luck my flight was delayed an hour and fifteen minutes, which was perfect because I got to join 3ammo Imad in the FIRST CLASS ...
Zagreb, Croatia ramsey_a... touristy but not without history – we visited Diocletian's palace and got to explore the city a bit. Spit was beautiful and very much what I had pictured Croatia to look like and on our second day we stumbled across the cutest market that sold everything from flowers to fresh produce to Croatian souvenirs. There was something very refreshing about the market and the self-sustainability of the city.
Zagreb, Croatia annalise.m... during... See photos). I decided then that it was necessary to grab a domestic red wine, which was served cold from the tap before leaving Slovenia for perhaps FOREVER. So then we headed off to another country. Man, don't you love Europe, a new country in only a little over 2 hours by train (a slow train I might add... see photo). So when I got to Zagreb a hostile (not hostel) ad greeted me as I got off the train (see photo). Then after an hour walk or so with what seemed like a ...
Zagreb, Croatia markpedri... I was so embarrassed. Everything had backfired. There isn't a happy ending to this story. I kept searching for weed outside, and met some cool people who tried their best to call some dealers, but it was too late in the night. The cool people ended up just driving me home, and I didn't go to the hotel party. But anyway, how many people can say they met a hip-hop celebrity in Zagreb, Croatia of all places? I know, weird.
Zagreb, Croatia rballesca... the falls, and were able to swim at the first falls. Water was wonderful. Above the falls took a boat to an island to see a 14th Century Monastery. It was beautiful, however the "tour" was short and sweet with no time left to actually look at anything. The island was bombed during the last war. Back to Skradin for pizza and wine. Quiet night in our sobe (room).
Scradin, Croatia sodepylesright now i am sitting in an internet cafe in croatia, it is an absolutely beautiful city. we left mykonos on monday and headed for preveza in northern greece. it was a long travel day, and we got to our hotel around 11 pm. in the morning we headed into albania. it is one of the poorest countries in europe, which is obvious as soon as you cross the border. there are still military bunkers that line the ...
Dubrovnik, Croatia rmac721... building looked quite interesting, it wasn`t crowded and we even got a travel guide (a very good looking one;)). He told us a lot about the muslim "churches" and even showed us a bit of singing. On the way to the city centre we met an old weird lady who wanted us to give her our addresses as she wanted to send us postcards from Zagreb. Me and Zuzka gave her to not sound rude, however I know it was a bit dangerous and naive. In the town we used a funky ...
