Took to train to Bathurst, it took 3 hours which should have given us beautiful views of the mountains but it was thick fog all the way.
On arrival we checked into a hotel that over looked the Panorama Race track which is the main thing that Bathurst is famous for.

... gold'. As soon as you take it out of the water it stops shining and turns blackish. However there is no mistaking when you find gold. It is so bright and yellow and lovely to look at with its deep lustre (my precious!). I returned to my 'reserved' picnic table for lunch. While I had been panning, four other cars had turned up.
