Greece....who knew there was such a market for fur

A travel blog entry by jimbeaux on Sep 29, 2015

We arrived in Crete, quite early in the morning. I tried to sleep in, but the gentle rolling of the ship was enough to wake me. Looking out our window, We saw the port (even though we are on the starboard – or "right" side of the ship).

HOT. HUMID. Dark clouds collecting off in the distance seem menacing as they ever so slowly drift across the black and blue sky picking up moisture along the way. We have ...

Today the plan was to drive down to Ierapetra and get the boat over to Chrisi Island, the southern most part of Europe before Africa. We arrived in town, bought our tickets for 10 Euro each and found a place to have brekky before departure. So we got a refund rather ...

Caught shuttle down to town for brekky, Ali had a 6 euro cooked brekky with tea and juice, Mel had a strawberry crepe. In the arvo we caught up on some washing and lazed around the pool before another shuttle into town. Watched another Aston Villa disaster at an Irish pub. ...

... further along the streets we uncovered the heart of the nightlife area with even more restaurants, massage places and souvenir shops. Definitely cheaper to eat down here with 10-15 euro giving us a good feed. We stayed past the last shuttle bus so caught a taxi back the resort. Will be back down into town for brekky in the morning for ...
