... kind double giving us two big beds and a massive room. The hotel was very grand, but a little bit dated. It would still be a good stay though as we had a great pool and the location was perfect. Once we had settled in we had a walk around our hotel and out towards the beach to get our bearings. We had a stroll along the beach and watched a bit of parasailing that was going off. It had soon got to the evening and after a lot of travelling we decided to stay in the hotel ...

So to have the chance to fish for the pinnacle of sportfish got my blood pumping, and I quickly set about putting out the lures in the various positions, reading along in a pocket guide that came with some of the lures I had bought. ... we still enjoyed our lazy walks with our juices and chatting to the local Malay beach bums chilling on the beach playing music.

We finally decided to hire a scooter on the third day and would keep it until we left. We hired it from a backstreet local man who called himself ‘Smiler’. Unlike the ‘Chief’, Smiler did live up to his name and was always waving and smiling at us whenever we drove past!

... own all over Southeast Asia, and hadn't booked anything at all... All he knew was that he had a flight home from Seoul in Korea in January... Nutter! We got on the second ferry boat, which Tiger Line (the operator) called a speedboat but it clearly wasn't, and made the last step across to Langkawi, where border control already had our passports and just called us in one by one. After that we grabbed a cab to our hotel - we didn't really see anything of the ...
