... make out for the first long while, but eventually she got bored of that tree and started to move and come more into the clear. I have to say watching her long arms gracefully grab and swing from on branch to another with her baby holding on was pretty special. If only the same damn leaved branches weren't in the way so we could get a better look at them. Nathan didn't feel too good when we got back so after a nice cold he had a lie down and got some salt and sugar back into him before we sat on the balcony and looked back at how amazing the day had been! ... after our day.

I ended up sitting by the river in the evening, chillin' having a been and watching the Hotel Starlight as the guides called it with the night sky above bursting with stars and I enjoyed all the firefly's darting around. After a restful nights sleep we headed off trekking again in the morning to the waterfall although I made the wrong decision taking flip flops so actually ended up just walking in the jungle ...

Orangutans, trekking, jungles and Rendang

We spent our first few days chilling out in the hammocks watching monkeys come down from the jungle in the afternoons to rifle through our bins; and exploring the spectacular Bat Caves just outside the village. Having been on the road for 5 months, we welcomed the break.

Feeling rejuvenated after our chill out time we booked ourselves on a 2 day jungle trek to see orangutans (many who have been reintroduced in to the ...
