... Didn't want to over sleep so instead ,barley slept!

taxi we had hired the night before was waiting for us.

really smooth flight but once we got to kuala Lupurs airport it's huge . Read where taxis

sometimes Over charge to take you to Kuala Lumpur ...its about 50 miles to town .

... and doesn't have walls, and there is no electricity for 21 hrs each day (therefore no refrigeration). You almost expect to hear Tarzan swinging by while you lounge around soaking up the jungle surrounds. And sitting at almost 1,000m elevation it was also a lot cooler...Perfect!

Phil has been working on the decks removing all the black stuff and pushing down the wading & any of the nails pushed up. I stripped the paint off all window frames and the pilothouse which was a very dirty job. Also new mosquito nets made & new covers for the fenders. ... welcome center, we learned about the history of tea farming in the Cameron highlands and also saw how the process happens. The smell of tea crushing, oxidation and fermentation is actually very aromatic. The machinery itself was not terribly interesting and the actual factory was small (again clearly manufactured for tourists and not where the true tea making happens)!
