Today was our first full day in Santorini, and our first day not feeling sick from the damn ferry (ugh!). We are finding the vendors initially assertive but once it is clear that we don't wish to make a purchase they are actually really friendly – especially to Craig. It is a very MALE population but also secular with strong women.

On the way back down we ride through a narrow ravine. There is an old stone arched bridge and another strange restaurant built out over the ravine stream supported on very fragile looking poles.
Another trip down to the wifi cafe for cappuccino rounds out the day. Tomorrow we head north back towards Greece.
It's an R&R day today. Time to rest up the weary bones and do nothing. By midday the sun is quite warm but there is a chill in the air in the early morning and in the evening. Winter is coming!

So employing my finely-honed international sign language - big, fat Germans gestures and brrrmm brrrmm noises - and releasing a couple of my precious store of Turkish words - motobisiklet and icki Alleymans - the kids pick up my meaning in a flash and are soon running down the road, shouting and pointing wildly, as they lead me straight to the gates of K-H house. Magic!
