In the evening, there was a Good Friday Procession which started from a church on the Piazza Garibaldi and would make its way up to the Duomo. It was to begin at 9pm, so with Lachlan in full fever mode, Sally ventured out with Veda and Garrett to check it out. It did not prove to be a dramatic ...

Tuesday dawned bright and sunny so we headed out early to catch the train to Assisi. An easy 40 minute ride on a commuter-style train brought us to the station in Assisi, far below the hill-town above. On the way we ran into a line of about 50 Pine processionary catepillars (we looked them up when we got home). They were walking head-to-toe in a solid line. Graham tried to persuade them to move back away from the roadway with his foot. As the leader veered right so to did the one behind him, then the other, then the other, and ...

Went on a one day pilgrimage with my school to Assisi to learn about the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Another beautiful town. I got to see where St. Francis was buried as well as the cross he was praying to when he decided to become a saint. I was not able to take pictures ...
