... mouth first time down but after that we were racing each other down like old hands. And that was all the rides covered. We did have a quick stint in the baby's pool, just before lunch - Bronte wanted to get her money's worth. About the only thing of interest going on over there was Rachel Griffiths swimming about with her family. Well, she looked like Rachel and although I didn't have my glasses on, and she was sporting large dark glasses, I was ready to get an ...

... around the whole building, particularly in the evening light.

Outside of Spoleto, we did some magnificent day trips. As I said before, the countryside driving around the Umbrian hills and villages is breathtaking.

One day we spent the morning meandering around Norcia, known for its top quality cured meats, so much so that the term “Norcineria” has become synonymous with butcher in Italy. Not only a mouth-watering selection of hams, ...

16 August Not as wet as the other day we had to drive but it did rain. Seems like every driving day has to have a bit of rain in it. It got drier and warmer as we got closer to Piegaro, though. When we finally got there, it was warm enough for a swim in the pool. Mind you, the pool is only warm enough for very brief dips if you are older than six.
