Woke up today to the overwhelming humidity in our tent. I got up and meandered about for the morning doing laundry, showering and lazing by the pool. Once I got all my errands out of the way. Headed down to the beach, the heat was already unbelievably harsh. Needless to say I didn't spend a lot of time on the beach but instead was frolicking around in the water. This morning we got up and grabbed a bite of breaky before meeting up with the group ready for a big drive day. Luckily the morning was fairly broken up because we stopped for a food stop and then continued onto the swamp tour. Panama City Beach has a very special place in my heart.. I've grown up down there spending summers, spring breaks, vacations, and holidays down there! I know this place like the back of my hand. I have seen the old PCB to them breaking down the amusement park and building pier park.. Tearing down the old nasty hotels and building high rise condominiums.. We will forever go to PCB!! The places to eat are Boatyard, Sharkys, Pineapple Willys, Shukums, Margaritaville and many many more!!.. ...
... at $100 per night. Cable and WiFi additional charge. Not worth it. Beach was nice - but living where we do, we see a lot of beaches. Typical surrounding area of T-shirt and tattoo places, and restaurants. Much better place to spend some time than the Big Oak!
