      ... payment in lieu of notice, pick up a work visa for China and planned my next adventure to Australia. In the days leading up to my approval of my visa, I went around the city some more looking at stuff.

      ... costs something. They have built a cable car to get to the 'island' and it only costs $28 bucks - or you can walk 700M and gain entry to the island for a dollar.
