Historical Traveler Reviews of Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport Sepang
Very practical
from HBDutytravel
This hotel is directly connected to KLIA airport and a buggy service takes you to the lobby. Walking is easy as well and not bad after sitting for hours in a plane. I stayed at a Club Floor room which was spacious and modern, spotlessly clean. The gym and spa are a great treat and open 24h so you can realax after a long flight. Breakfst at the Club Floor was ok but not earthshaking. If you need to stay overnight in transit or need to be at the airport early in the morning - choose this hotel as it is a real practical and luxurious option.
OK but not special

Rooms are nice and roomy, broadband internet in the room.
I booked a room on the hotel's website the night before and when we arrived at the airport, my booking was nowhere to be found, had to settle for a more expensive room...
The food was ok but nothing to write home about.
It took forever to check out.
The only reason i would stay here again is that the hotel is the only one this close to the airport that is habitable...
Great Relaxing Night
from aussieward
Earlier this year we stayed at the Pan Pacific in KL airport.
We got a great rate on a last minute website, the check-in went smooth, the rooms were clean and large! The pool was SO REFRESHING and beautiful.
Breakfast had a very large selection and the wait staff we're attentive and
proffesional.
Its worth spending the money on the PanPac for your stopover in KL!!!

Fulfils its purpose well
from pete64
We had one night here between a late evening arrival and a morning departure and chose it because of its proximity to the KLIA terminal. The expensive room price of MR300 reflects the captive airport market the hotel has but the room was very quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Both check in and out were quick and efficient. We didn't eat in the hotel so I can't comment on the restaurant. For an airport hotel, the Pan Pacific is superior to many of its UK equivalents and it fulfils its limited purpose very well.
Serves its purpose

We stayed at the airport whilst in transit. Big rooms, comfortable bed, good shower. Friendly efficient staff and adequate buffet meal. Buggy transport to and from terminal saves 10 minute walk.
Only problem we had was that we were there for about 10 hours during the day and attempted to sleep but disturbed by kids running up and down the hall. Not the hotel's fault but I'm sure it's probably not uncommon considering the purpose of the hotel. (Actually one of my main complaints about travelling is that a number of parents seem to let their kids run wild at the expense of other travellers' comfort).
Mixed experience at the Pan Pacific
from ManxQueenies
Recently stayed for 1 night between flights - very mixed experience but overall not too bad for an airport hotel.
The hotel is a good 5-10 minute walk from the terminal, but the hotel does provide buggies most of the day which makes the trip easy - though the drivers will try and sell you trips to KL every time you use them !
It took forever to check in and check out. I had booked a Pacific Floor non-smoking double - and this seemed to cause no end of confusion. The non-smoking request and double and Pacific floor as a combination seemed to tax the (trainee) receptionist and his supervisor. Initially a Pacific twin was offered and then a series of 3 other rooms on lower floors with the explaination that the Pacific floor was closed for renovation (he'd forgotten at this stage he'd tried to give us a twin on that floor). After much discussion and about 30 mins a manager offerred us an upgrade to a junior suite - and very nice it was too (albeit a little dated). Check out the next day took about 15 mins - purely down to there only being 2 staff on reception at a busy time.
The Pacific lounge was indeed closed and instead of cocktails for 2 hours we were given a voucher for 2 drinks at the main bar. Bit of a rip off that one. Nonetheless did eat in the bar - food was indifferent and pricey - staff very pushy. Drinks were very expensive and about double the going rate for KL. Mini bar drinks were a rip off - even more expensive.
Breakfast was good - nice mix and all fresh and well presented as a buffet.
Overall I would suggest this is an OK hotel - but if I'd been aware that there was an airside transit hotel I would have stayed there - both for the convenience and the better choice of food within the airport.
Covenience over ambience

It would be a long walk from the airport terminal, but fortunately, complementary golf card transportation is provided.
I recommend this hotel for a quick one-day trip to K.L. In the morning, catch a high-speed train to the city, do business, then reurn to the airport. It's easy to catch an early flight the following day.
I found the bar food and cafeteria breakfast to be adequate.
Terrible food

The rooms are great and the pool is beautiful. Dont expect a good meal. My wife and I ordered a meal. After half an hour her meal arrived but not mine. After a further 10 mins I complained and was told that room service had been the problem and that the chef was busy. My wife's meal was reheated and mine finally arrived. In the end it was by far the worst meal I had in K.L.
Does its job well

Well not many of us stay at an airport hotel out of choice, but more out of necessity! Excellent rooms, clean and well-maintained. Good breakfast buffet. Restaurants are surprisingly not too overpriced as often is the tnedency at airport hotels! The hotel is linked to the terminal by a walkway, so you are 5 minutes walk from the check-in desks. An excellent choice for the weary traveller! Paid around $100 for a twin room with breakfast - well worth this rate.
