... city with tons of artesan vendors. I had the best fruit smoothie I've ever tasted, and then took a boat ride through town. It was wonderful to get out of the city for the day, to relax and breathe fresh air, and our guide made everything so fun. Go to Buenos Aires 4 U's website to check it out!

Cañuelas, Argentina
So the second day in Argentina has come, and I am feeling much, much better about the whole thing. It is pretty amazing what a good night's sleep will do for you. I was so confused and jet-lagged yesterday when I wrote my first post that I even put the wrong day of the week. Anyway, deciding to go to bed early last night (for Argentine standards anyway) and not go ...
... like a small city of its own. Crypts stand stories high and there are collections of statues and mausoleums, tributing the dead of Argentinian high society. It is most famously associated with Eva Peron who was buried there in 1976 after her embalmed body had been returned from a spell in Italy (!!). After eating lots of Freddo ice cream we then ...

I dunno ... this whole "Cult of Wade" thing is getting out of hand ... we suspected that Ranjit was stealthily lurking behind his curtains, camera in hand, waiting to catch a glimpse of Wade, au naturel ... A number of us are finding this tour interesting, because we expected the tour to have more ...
Tigre, Argentina pwong... Tigre was not as impressive as I thought. It was very big and busy. All the houses in the Delta area are very expensive. They are the resort places for the rich Argentinians. I visited the Fruit Market. Most of the stores were closed down due to the Christmas day. I returned back to Buenos Aires around 4pm where I got the local bus to the airport for my flight to Washington DC at 11pm.
Tigre, Argentina canadiansmiley... substantially and we were all excited at the prospect of being stranded for a week. Otherwise it was a lazy day, we wandered up the canal to where it disappears in the reeds, admiring the abundance of wild lilies on the way - beautiful! Toni cooked up the leftover asado into an amazing pasta dish for lunch, Blair and Patrick went for a swim in the flood, and we slowly contemplated the thought of leaving our little paradise. By the time we ...
