... the way out of Palouse, there were some very beautiful rolling fields. Hard to stop and find the position to take photos though :-(

We got to Steptoe Butte around 8. There were a few photography groups staged out at different spots waiting for sunset. We went to the top, then came down to the tier below. ... if we could help but by the time we got there, flames were already coming out from the bonnet of her van. We didn’t have a fire extinguisher so the best we could do was give her and her son shelter in our car while we waited for the fire department.
