Well we finally swam in the Mediterranean. The water is very clear, temperature was perfect, calm sea...no waves, but I needed my sandals to cope with the very pebbly shore! Did I know there wouldn't be much sand? We are spoilt! Yesterday we walked to the Chimaera...up a mountainside to where fire still burns from crevices in the rocks, it was recommended we visit at night to get the full effect. Thankfully we walked up in daylight and back in the early evening ...

We spent a pleasant hour exploring the excavations and ...

The haja Sophia also another huge monument and then finally my first taste of real Turkish food in the form of a cheese pride and some kofta! Sooo delicious! I followed this up with a boat cruise on the Bosphorus, the body of water that separates Asia ...
