... me , well I’ll be honest, I could barely lift him out of his watery, concrete Lay-Z-Boy because I was laughing like a wild , spotted hyena. Once out, Billy took off his shirt and went sprinting up the hill towards our apartment. I could barely see through the tears in my eyes.
Another highlight of our Knysna trip was a visit to a Raptor sanctuary where we were allowed to handle various birds of prey like owls and falcons and eagles. We ...

Wilderness, Western Cape, South Africa perec... and sit down in the sun and have coffee and muffins. The coffee was fantastic, the muffins were odd. There was a traditional muffin made with meat...eeew! or a muffin with peppers and feta cheese. I tried a bit of the latter and it was awful. It was a lovely morning but not a Zulu culture experience since everyone at the market was white. We headed back to the hostel where I spent the day washing clothes and reading in the garden and Alan went golfing. Manon paid her €35 to be brought ...
Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa alandrach... we stayed on an old train RIGHT on the beach which was really cool. The carriages were all coverted into small bedrooms, and you had to share a bathroom with everyone but it was clean and fine. When we moved on from Mossel to Wilderness we had to stay in a seperate guest house because the place we're in now was full up. It was a huge place which was had completely to ourselves which was really cool. Off paragliding tomorrow ...
Wilderness, South Africa didigodman... mountains yesterday and now we're feeling very sore but happy. I'll be taking Kaska back to Cape Town on the 26th December and she'll fly back to Belgium - she says the holidays have gone too quickly - I think I know what she means. Hopefully before she goes we'll have a chance to paraglide from the sea cliffs here - I said I'd get her that as a Christmas present, but it all depends if this ...
Wilderness, South Africa mcarenI remember her visit from America very clearly. I was 9 at the time, and I hadn't seen my Nana in forever. I was so excited. When she came out of the airport, I practically jumped on her!! Right after she arrived, we went to go see my second cousins, Kirsten and Megan, where they were ...
Knysna, Western Cape, South Africa sailorgirl97... ended up cooking dinenr by candlelight, which reminded me of frequent power cuts I have at home, and something I probably have to look forward to in a couple of weeks time. Dinner took ages cos the oven was stupidly slow, and Brent got bored and started throwing a ball of foil at Bart's back whilst he was washing up. Bart strangely liked it and insisted on one of us rolling the ball of foil down his back in a weird massage. I took pity ...
Wilderness / Knysna, South Africa froglin81... 100 feet off the beach/ocean! Cruising along so close to the surf and sand was really unbelievable. We then had to climb again in order to make some distance. Soon, Barry pointed down to my side a pod of seven whales all lined up! Seven! I was hoping for at least one! Also, surfing on a wave were four dolphins. They looked like they were having a blast. Looking around, we spotted quite a few more dolphins just swimming about. Barry circled around the whales again, getting lower this ...
Plettenberg Bay, South Africa the_tardifsMtubatuba is a place I want to live, pure and simple. My heart skipped a beat as we approached and left the city behind. This was real life. And it was pension day! I think pension day must be the same the world over, a day to celebrate, mark on your calendar and spend shopping! As we pulled up to the Africa Centre in the middle of a very open, rural area we drove by stalls laid out selling the essentials of life. Everything was beautifully displayed, candles ...
