... model with warranty coverage. We even bid on one vehicle but it sold for more than our target price so on Friday we visited the local Volvo dealer to see what they had for resale.

I think we found a wonderful car. An XC60 2.4D. Large enough for comfortable road trips and airport pickups (room for luggage!) And of course good for any IKEA trips (hopefully not many more for us! LOL).

It's always a happy moment when we turn the key in the lock and see our sun-filled apartment with that lovely view of the sea. Our home for the coming winter months!

It didn't take us long to get settled. And to our delight, shortly after our arrival Vincent, Alexia and Madlyn came by to give us a warm hello....and a few minutes later Marie appeared to make their welcome complete!

As we were crossing a bridge we saw a load of orange pickers way below and backtracked. We rode through the middle of an orange grove and emerged near the pickers much to the surprise of the guy who seemed to be in charge. Whilst he was Spanish, the pickers were actually Moroccan. ... pretty little town where Mike discovered that he would like to die buried in a pile of French food...and French pastries...and French wine. Weirdly although I was on a quest to eat my way through Europe I am not a fan of French food...I know right? What a weirdo. From there we were off to Miramas to start our first workstay in France.
