Sunday we took the bullet train 1.5 hours north to Verona. We were met at the station by missionaries Michael and Loretta Hopkins who we met as itinerant pastors in our Florence church. ... we had packed for such emergencies, half an hour later we were enjoying our tea, however as the hob wasn't working and it is also our main heater with it's blower lid, we had to put the oven on to keep warm, which by the way works really well.
