Palma Bay Hotel
Travel Blogs from Playa de Palma
Monday, 6/2/2014. Short trip to Mallorca and then off we were to Copenhagen. Here are a few shots from our plane.
I can see why the Brits love to come to this place as it is very beautiful and it's reputation as a party place is probably unfair as it has a lot more to distinguish itself than that. It's relaxed for the most part except in the main streets and there are little bazaars and courtyards everywhere with the usual street vendors but no one pesters you greatly. The port area is very attractive with lots of palm trees lining the street and the marina is huge with some very very costly boats in ...
... the city sightseeing tour. The first stop was right at the port side so we 'hopped' on! We saw some beautiful parts of Palma, including the Cathedral. Headed back to the ship about 3.30. It was nice and quiet as we were not sailing again until 8pm so most people were still off ...
... is basically a balcony around the church where the acoustics will be perfect. The stained glass windows are incredibly beautiful. The colors are amazing, and the pictures I took do not do it justice.
By the time we got to the church on the bus, though, we were starving, so we found a McDonald's across the street. I thought it was a good omen that there was an Italian gelato place next door. How could we go wrong? ...
... the "three month people" because they just got married three months ago) at lunch, and they are going to come see us in The Villages. I told them they should plan on living in The Villages in the winter and SC in the summer. The wife thought that was an excellent idea. We've exchanged phone numbers. I think I should be on retainer by The Villages.
Jaye and I decided we could never live ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Palma Bay Hotel Playa de Palma
I went 2 years ago to the Hotel Palma Bay club with my mum, dad, brother, nan and grandad. The hotel was ok, I really liked the pools and spent most of my time in them, Golf was quite good, nightlife was brilliant, cleanliness of the room was disgusting, I put all of my suitcases under the bed and they were so dusty!!! I heard some of the maids stole things from other guests, thankfully we put our stuff in the safety box. Food was ok, not brilliant though, I liked the snack bar, chips were lovely from there! I am 14, so I thought there were a lot of things to do, I enjoyed the facilities there. Arenal resort was ok, didn't like the beach, the shops were ok, but the resort was packed full of people and I like quiet resorts. Good for teenagers, but not for people wanting a relaxing, quiet holiday.
5 star through and through
i felt completley satisfied and found they had excellent customer service, i will be goimg back this august! it made my first trip abroad one to remember!
We hated it
filthy noisey hotel food never hot complete waste of money
Loved it brilliant holiday would go again,
It was our first holiday abroad and we found it good value for money. The food was lovely and the nightlife was excellent .the rooms were cleaned daily but the outskirts of the hotel were dissapointing except for the aquapark which was ten minutes from the hotel.Iwould recommend this hotel for families.
I LOVED IT!!!!!!
I went to the Palma Bay club hotel last October with my mum, dad, nan, aunty, uncle and 2 of my cousins! I loved the holiday! The entertainment at night was great! I am 14 and there was lots for me to do. There were clubs for the kids aged 3-11. On the site were three pools! (one was just for adults!) The beach is a 5 minute walk down a hill (isn't suitable if you have walking dificulties!) Overall the food was great aswell! the only problem that i did have was that we had a room above the reception door so we could here people arriving in the night and we were woken up every morning by a cockeral!
Great for families
wev'e been twice and enjoyed both times, the food was good lots of choice, something going on all day if you want it, nice pools, kids clubs, all staff very friendly, the only fault is that you have to get up early to bag a sunbed
the best hotel food was wicked, loads of activitys like mini golf , table tennis normal tennis as well as pool. the entertainment was brill the bar and the restrant was clean and the rooms
Not for couples
definitley not for couples, this is for families only.
1 poolside bar and adult only bar closed this caused problems when using bar and restaurant. food o.k. rooms clean but sparten,no air con.this would cause problems in high season. situated on a hill. we visited 4/10/2003
It was not a holiday for the family
the holiday was a holiday from hell my kids where bad the food was very poor, cold didnt have kids menu boring the rooms where terreable the entertain ment was crap
Go 4**** when going all inclusive
Our main problem with the all inclusive holiday was the 3*** hotel. No air con and rooms very sparten. You had to queue at the bar for only small plastic cups for all the drinks (4 max/visit) no trays allowed. You got fed up and didn't bother drinking. However otherwise very nice place and holiday. People very friendly. My advice go 4**** for an all enclusive holiday. If you are going to use the Palma Bay bring out a desk fan and use it then flog it.
