Beautiful place - worth a trip in itself

Every once in a while, if you are lucky, you stumble upon a hotel that is worth a trip in itself. Rendezvous is one of those gems. As you enter through the doors from the parking in front of the B&B, you get this soothing feeling of a place made for relaxation. The check-in process is far from your regular hotel experience - here they will sit down with you and go through the reservation, tell you about the area and give you some tips on what you can do. The place also has a bunch of books, magazines, games and videos you can borrow. The rooms have their individual theme - we stayed in Route 66 since we were on a roadtrip :-). The room was good sized with separate WC and bathroom, and the bed was soooo comfortable. The Rendezvous team serves up cocktails between 5 and 6, which is a brilliant way to relax after a day of exploring the area. The breakfast deserves a separate and massive cudos - so tasty and fresh; a smoothie, fruit salad and a hot main. Brilliant start to the day.

We loved staying here, and hated leaving. Next time we'll stay longer for sure. (Sidenote; our stay was just before the property was sold to new owners. Hopefully they will continue in the same spirit)

      Good morning Palm Springs!

We can tell we're out in the desert as we walk out into the pool area of the hotel for breakfast. 8.30AM and it's already almost 30 degrees. It seems like we managed to pick a great day to go to Joshua Tree. After a stellar 3 course breakfast we get on the road for the 1 hr drive to Joshua Tree National Park. The …

Today is primarily a travelling day, and after a nice and slow start we start making our way towards Palm Springs. The drive is mainly freeways as we haven't planned any sightseeing along the route. It's a couple of hours drive from Burbank to Palm Springs and thanks to our slow start and a quick Starbucks breakfast we manage to avoid all of the …

Sure enough, Cody designed almost anything Palm Springs allowed him to; houses, cluster housing, churches, offices, restaurants, schools, hotels, and club houses. His residential projects illustrated simplicity of form, natural light, and large windows displaying a smooth connection between interior and exterior... P's home is a perfect example of Cody's ...

... convinced that it was probably something that was going to eat me, and finally found a crow sitting atop of a bare tree. Phew!

We turned around to head back. I had to stop four times to pick thorns out of my feet. Finally, we heard people, climbed up the little dune we originally didn’t want to climb, hiked the 20-minute walk back to the car, and, an hour later than it should have taken, we arrived at the car and told Matt of our endeavor. He ...

Kyle Busch lead most of the time but in the last 3 laps there were 3 leader changes with local/favorite driver, Kevin Harvick from Bakersfield winning. After a 60 second burnout at the finish line (where he dissappeared in an acrid rubber cloud), it was done. Awesome!
