Beautiful place - worth a trip in itself

Every once in a while, if you are lucky, you stumble upon a hotel that is worth a trip in itself. Rendezvous is one of those gems. As you enter through the doors from the parking in front of the B&B, you get this soothing feeling of a place made for relaxation. The check-in process is far from your regular hotel experience - here they will sit down with you and go through the reservation, tell you about the area and give you some tips on what you can do. The place also has a bunch of books, magazines, games and videos you can borrow. The rooms have their individual theme - we stayed in Route 66 since we were on a roadtrip :-). The room was good sized with separate WC and bathroom, and the bed was soooo comfortable. The Rendezvous team serves up cocktails between 5 and 6, which is a brilliant way to relax after a day of exploring the area. The breakfast deserves a separate and massive cudos - so tasty and fresh; a smoothie, fruit salad and a hot main. Brilliant start to the day.

We loved staying here, and hated leaving. Next time we'll stay longer for sure. (Sidenote; our stay was just before the property was sold to new owners. Hopefully they will continue in the same spirit)

As we are here to wind down at the end of our time in the US, it was a later start this morning and then off to the Resort pool. The entire complex where we are staying has both a resort and a Country Club. We chose to stay at the Country Club, because they have vacation rental apartments, which are larger and have much more space to move around and you still have access to all the resort facilities. There are pools all around us, that seem to always be empty and all ...

Relaxing day yesterday . Did some work in the morning as usual, then a blade around Palm Desert community park. It was already getting toasty by 10. Gardeners came later, then Gary to pick up his car that he was storing in our garage.. he'll drive it back to Edmonton from here. Some pool time and checking up on what's happening at the yoga.. and it was hot.. left overs for supper. and relaxing after ...
