Beautiful place - worth a trip in itself

Every once in a while, if you are lucky, you stumble upon a hotel that is worth a trip in itself. Rendezvous is one of those gems. As you enter through the doors from the parking in front of the B&B, you get this soothing feeling of a place made for relaxation. The check-in process is far from your regular hotel experience - here they will sit down with you and go through the reservation, tell you about the area and give you some tips on what you can do. The place also has a bunch of books, magazines, games and videos you can borrow. The rooms have their individual theme - we stayed in Route 66 since we were on a roadtrip :-). The room was good sized with separate WC and bathroom, and the bed was soooo comfortable. The Rendezvous team serves up cocktails between 5 and 6, which is a brilliant way to relax after a day of exploring the area. The breakfast deserves a separate and massive cudos - so tasty and fresh; a smoothie, fruit salad and a hot main. Brilliant start to the day.

We loved staying here, and hated leaving. Next time we'll stay longer for sure. (Sidenote; our stay was just before the property was sold to new owners. Hopefully they will continue in the same spirit)

    Good morning Palm Springs!

We can tell we're out in the desert as we walk out into the pool area of the hotel for breakfast. 8.30AM and it's already almost 30 degrees. It seems like we managed to pick a great day to go to Joshua Tree. After a stellar 3 course breakfast we get on the road for the 1 hr drive to Joshua Tree National Park. The …

Today is primarily a travelling day, and after a nice and slow start we start making our way towards Palm Springs. The drive is mainly freeways as we haven't planned any sightseeing along the route. It's a couple of hours drive from Burbank to Palm Springs and thanks to our slow start and a quick Starbucks breakfast we manage to avoid all of the …

You have the hollywood stars where your kids try heard to spot someone that they actually know (thankfully we finally found elvis). There is just something almost magical about palm springs, you definately feel a little like you have been thrown back into ...

... in a tent! Inside our van we had everything we needed to have a comfortable 4 night stay at Coachella. A king bed, fridge and a stove- it was luxury camping! It only took us about 2 hours to get to Indian Wells. we got there safely although at times I had to close my eyes as our van was quite large and there was lots of traffic. We found the venue easily enough and were smacked in the face with soooo much traffic trying to get into the venue, which was ...
