Historical Traveler Reviews Palm Oasis Maspalomas

    Excellent

    from

We spent one week at Palm Oasis - June 06. We rented an apartment for myself and husband and a studio for my daughter & her friend. I was very impressed with both rooms. The studio was a fantastic size, bigger than some rooms we have previously stayed in that sleeps 4. The apartments and the hotel are very clean. The pool area is also very clean with ample sun loungers.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My overall impression - an excellent hotel - would certainly recommend. My only criticism is the standard of the food in the restaurant, it's reasonably priced but not much variety, having said that I would certainly return to this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

    Sehr schön

    from

    Ausgezeichnet

    from

    from

    5 Star

This is an excellent Resort, I have stayed here every year for the last 10 years (since it began to be built), 5 star accomidation, excellent facilities and surroundings, A little peice of heaven on earth.

    Lovely

    from

we have stayed at palm oasis a couple of times now ( renting from timeshare owners) both times its been lovely . it sits high up on a hill & if you get a room over looking the pool you can see clear out to sea. they are by far the best apartments i stayed in there huge nice big sitting areas fully equiped kitchens .nice big terrace pluse the 2 beds rooms have a bathroom each with power shower & bath in both also it has under floor heating which is nice when you step out of the shower in the evenig.

the pool is nice with a bar serving food & drinks near by its clean & they provide towls, but be warned if you want to get a good spot you better get up early!

now the not so good parts. the food in the evening is yuck, the first time we went we paid for our evening meals at the begining of the week ,that was a mistake as the food was poor & we ate out most evenings ( theres a great chinese just over the rd) . the second thing is there is no night life. they have a bar but no one goes ther so its empty, iv no idea where they all go but they dont stay there thats for sure. also its a long way from the town so you need to get a taxie which works out quite expensive over the course of 2 weeks.

that said its a lovely place to stay if your looking for a nice relaxing holiday but dont bother if your a night owl

    Palm oasis a wonderful place

    from

a wobnderful place to stay, with friendly and helpful staff.had a week in july 2004 and went back in october 2004

Great place for a relaxing break..

    from

Stayed here for a week in Feb-06.

Great spot for a relaxing break. The complex is about 10 years old and was build as a time share (I am not an owner). Still very well maintained. everything clean and modern.

Off season you can rent 1 bed apartments for just €75 per night, (which is cheap for this quality) direct from the hotel.

The rate includes daily room service, fresh towels, etc. In addition they do your laundry for free.

There are severla pools, and lots of room to take the sun. The whole complex is first class.

The only area where they fall down is catering (the food is pretty basic buffet service). This is ofset though by the fact that it is just a €3-4 taxi ride from a huge range of restaurants, etc in the main resorts.

    Highly recomended.

    Excellent

    from

i love this place, i do own two weeks here and try to go to other places but i miss it loads if i dont try and get back every year. it is so relaxed. the rooms are so spacious, i own a two bedroomed which sleeps 6 comfortably and the bathroom is huge, it has two actually. the gardens are so pretty and everywhere is spotlessly clean. i cant imagine anyone not liking it here. its only a short taxi ride, about 4 euros into playa del ingles if you want the nightlife and restuarants. very quiet location but plently to do just a short ride away. i recommend this place to anyone.

    Splendid resort!

    from

We stayed here for a week in June 2004 with our two teenage daughters and had a fabulous holiday. This is a purpose-built timeshare resort hotel with 5 star accommodation, but you can rent the accommodation through owners all around the world who sell on their spare weeks. Admittedly we stayed in one of the penthouses with luxury marble bathrooms, two bedrooms and a jacuzzi on the balcony, but the quality and standard of the resort itself really was superb throughout, in all the accommodation. Fridge-freezers, 3 televisions, microwave, bathrobes - we couldn't fault this accommodation. Every facility was catered for - two landscaped pools with a hot spa in one, waterfall and pagoda, numerous sun loungers on many terraces with free towels, tennis courts, underground car parking with security barriers for safe hire car parking, taxis right outside the hotel, attentive staff who were helpful, courteous and unobtrusive, on-site supermarket, restaurant, hair salon, underground games room and internet cafe, etc. The hotel boasts a hilltop setting looking out over all of Maspalomas, and we ate out every evening at the bottom of the hill in Playa or Faro II or at the restaurants by the Faro lighthouse. You are three minutes away from the restaurants, bars and nightlife at Playa de Ingles yet in an exclusive, elegant setting which is a pleasure to return to each day. This is a luxury hotel in one of the most easy-going relaxed resorts in the Canaries - recommend you book your flights and accommodation separately to get the best prices.

Most of the day was about catching the fish in bucket, walking over to the lab, and slowly pouring them content into the tanks making sure that there 125 fish per tank. Then a small amount of algae and rotifero was placed in the tanks for food. ...

Woke up under the blistering heat of the sun, the tent kept warming up. We opened our tent and stuck our head out to catch some some that nice breeze. We took down the tent, packed all our things, and went for a list swim in this nice rocky bay. We then started walking down the road to hopefully stop a cab to take us to the next town, but some 20 meters into out walk ...
