... making very slow headway indeed. Brian was still not feeling 100% and complaining quite a lot. When I looked back at him I saw he was drenched in sweat and very pale. So out to the road and to Carcassone we bee-lined, and the nearest hotel were checked into. Super early (before noon) I was able to do laundry and catch up on internet things.

There was also an amazing medival city high up on a hill that we went for a little walk through ...
Vic-la-Gardiole, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2totangoSo as you all know, I just came back from my 2 1/2 week road trip throughout Spain. For those of you who don't have Facebook, here's a link you can click on that will allow you to view the photo album without joining Facebook:

http://www.facebook.co m/album.php?aid=2089409&id=3704142& amp;l=a8292393d8

Overall, this trip has been absolutely amazing. The Captain gave them some motion sickness medicine and had them come up to the bridge where they could clearly see out of the yacht. This helped Nickie, but not Noel who threw up before going to her room to sleep. I spent the afternoon and evening with our other guest’s ...
Leucate, Languedoc-Roussillon, France mylifesjourney... two weeks (I was planning on staying for 12 days). So instead I've mapped myself out a really nice road trip throughout Spain, where I will stop in Valencia, Granada, Malaga, Gibraltar, Sevilla, Cordoba, Madrid, and Pamplona. This should take me about the same time, so I'd have approximatelty 2 1/2 weeks. Hopefully my next post will be from a strange and foreign Spanish city.
Lodeve, Languedoc-Roussillon, France jdcabanel... to allow rain in Italy to clear. Want to re-visit Lake Garda, see if we can't get the spot right next to the lake we last had some 15 years ago, say. Don't know if it's a good idea to go back to the site of happy memories: can you improve on them in any way, or only spoil their rosy glow?
All well with rig, thankfully - you hardly know it's there!
Villeneuve-lès-Béziers, Languedoc-Roussillon, France marcdolav... loved me and couldn't wait to see me (I can't blame them). I only have one week until I leave for Portugal, so I really don’t have time to sit around and feel sorry for myself (Boo Hoo Hoo, I have a whole year of vacation and I am going to Asia, poor me…right, pffrtt). So that’s that. As time goes by, I promise that my blog will get more and more interesting.

"Allo Pysnoo. Serais-tu intéressé pour partir en Hollande?
Euh??? Ais-je le choix?
Bah en fait, pas vraiment!<br ...

Hérépian, Languedoc-Roussillon, France ethansamjencol... mountains with beef Burgundy as the main entrée, which was his wife's specialty. During dinner we met an older French couple on holiday as well. They were very entertaining and Micki was able to speak to them for a couple of hours in French. The girls and I were very impressed as was the gite owner at her ability to speak French after not really speaking it for 24 years. After dinner, the owner invited Micki and I for an after dinner drink of a local liqueur called Chartreuse, made ...
Béziers, France earlgirl94... along narrow forested roads sometimes as dark as night under the canopy of trees following the Cesse river. On the map it looked to be no distance at all but 40km of mountain road at 30kph took forever. It reached 35° at 6pm after we had returned that afternoon so we rescued the fan from the bedroom (don't mention the other fan) to move the air around in our sitting room. Another evening of a late meal, some typing, some paper reading and lots of book reading.
