A travel blog entry by jblackley

... It is now a huge military museum. We had a bit of a wander through the Cavalry museum.

The weather was holding up although the wind had become quite cold, but at least it was keeping the rain away. We walked down to the Seine passing a game of boulles? ... surprised at the displays in the windows, how outrageous some of the pieces actually were. Once there I was actually intimidated to enter some of the shops-- but we did and soon got over the feeling of snotty exclusivity; unfortunately we didn't find anything close to what we were looking for. We headed home without having spent a ridiculous cent and grabbed dinner to go-- a potato/bacon pizza and some fabulous desserts. We were home by seven on after a much quieter day. ...
