Well, Paul and I are on our way home! We awakened at 6:30 am this morning, took a hotel shuttle bus to the airport which was two miles away. We waited approximately an hour and a half for our flight from Brussels to Heathrow London. It was only about an hour and ten minute flight but it was almost an hour late leaving. Once inside while very crowded was also cool. The cathedral was lovely. Again Doug and I successfully managed the Metro and got back to the hotel. While it was our last night in Paris, we crashed after being out in heat most of the day. I would add, we also ...

... buying carrots. We intended to have a quiet morning and head to the gallery after lunch, as it didn't open till 11.30 anyway. It was about 20 minutes' walk, and even though it was reasonably busy inside, we were able to walk straight in. After Picasso died in the 1970s, the Government allowed his heirs to pay inheritance taxes with works of art, and these formed the basis of the Collection. It has been added to by other gifts and purchases ...
