There are loads of metal containers, rows of them, with raw ingredients - fish, sea food, pork, chicken, liver and beans, baby sweet corn, pok choi, and other veg. There's a vat of boiling stock over hot coals into which you dunk your green lipped mussels and raw prawns. There's ...

It was an experiance that neither one of us would pass up, it would mean that we could sharpen up our very poor thai language skills and interact a lot more with people that wernt backpackers or snooty tourists. It ended up being one of our best nights in thailand, we spent the night ...

... screens, and strangely a sink too big for the counter, a toilet seat too small for the toilet, a mirror hung by a string, no shower head (a hose out of the wall sufficed) and light bulbs that took turns sparking. Like I said, strangely charming and indeed cheap! Upon arrival, we looked around for tours to take the following day. We looked around town but ended up settling on a tour company run by Lek, a Charming Thai man and we ended up feeling like his groupies- every time ...
