    ... two complimentary champagnes as well. Our flight is called and we make our way with what we hope is a barely perceptible stagger to the departure gate. It is over seven hours to Doha but it is a really nice flight. We are really impressed with the Qatar business class service. Great restaurant quality food and really comfortable flat bed seats, just great for having a snooze after yet more nice wine and a vintage port with my cheese ...

    ... a lovely patch of snow where they were able to rig up a temporary ski tow for their own entertainment. They were all wearing shorts and sporting wonderful hair cuts - very amusing!!

    We all took a stroll down the river bank as far as the village green then said our goodbyes before driving off to Aberdeen for a walk along the promenade. A warm, clear afternoon/evening brought out lots of walkers and runners and we enjoyed looking out at all ...

    ... I won't get to walk back to this house for a very long time...and when I do...Chris, Chris, Dave and Katie won't be here.

    So, it's hard.

    I am leaving my Scottish home and family behind.

    But, all the best stories come from the journey not the destination don't they?

    ... work so much fun. And to be honest with you, just on a side note, Liam is one of the most helpful people I have met. I don't think I would be learning so fast if it wasn't for him teaching me about all the stickers and fault reports.
