... It was a cool experience though being out in the rain. We stopped by a cafe and got a canola and a "Sette Velize cake", they were very delicious. The host lady took us out to her favorite restaurant and I had a Sicilian style pizza and panini, which I later figured out was cow liver. We walked around but it started raining again so we went to bed.
The next day we went to the port and I got some sausage. It was the best food I had had yet. After that ...

We also met an Aussie couple from Melbourne who are touring around Sicily. The train takes a long time to ...

Today we found the markets. The food market is amazing but you don't have to do more than follow your nose as both ends sell fish. Some of the fruit and veg is interesting. The strawberries are the size of a small cherries tomato and the zucchini is about 1 mitre long. In the afternoon we visited the ...

Another blisteringly hot day in Palermo. We walked to the Cathedral which was opened today and went in for a look. Then we decided to take the air conditioned bus to Monreale. That was an experience. It was over full for part of the way with people still trying to get on with babies in strollers. You don't take the baby out here you just wheel the stroller on to the bus. Monreale has a square with a Basilica Cathedral and lots of narrow streets with shops. ...
