... upwards through hairpin bends, the side of the road covered with prickly pear, bougainvillea and oleanders. The jacaranda trees were in bloom in the city and the jacarandas here bloom twice a years here. The views as we drove along were great but nothing to see at the spot the bus dropped us, there were of course many stalls selling the usual souvenirs. We had 20 mins here and then we wound our way down again to visit the seaside town of Mondelo. We drove ...

Here for 3 days as fronts pass over then hope to head for ...

Alison and Scott stay on board and plan their next adventure - off to Venice for a few days ...

Both plates came with a small dollop of mashed potatoes and a side of really nice mixed vegetables. We also shared a lovely bottle of local red wine--frappato grape. I had a decaf cappuccino, and Eldon had a grappa. It was a meal to truly remember. Good ...

... usual half carafes of both white and red.

Eldon's first course was four different appetizers from this area. We shared, of course. We had bruschetta, a serving of fried chickpeas flour-like pancake, another mixture of eggplant, olives, capers and tomatoes on bread and we can't remember the fourth. But all of them were very good. Eldon then ordered the spaghetti and mussels, which we shared once ...
