The manager at the last hotel wasn't wrong, the drive was spectacular, we saw some amazing views and again the pictures do not do it justice.

Border crossing was fine.

We both breather a sigh of relief when we arrived in Greece.

Checked in to the Hotel, the room had a balcony looking over Lake Ioannina, really nice Hotel …

Metsovo is a remarkable town in Epirus 550 kms from Athens, only 37 minutes drive from Ioannina. It is like an Alpine village, reminding me very much of Switzerland. Not only the climate but the houses remind me of this country. It is a popular destination the year round with much greenery, and natural beauty.
