... new underground car park just outside the city walls (Piazza Cittadella) From there it was only a few minutes to the main Piazza & the Roman Arena.
We wandered off away from the main Piazza & the large tourist restaurants surrounding it to have a coffee at a more local oriented cafe - nice to be away from the crowds + a more authentic experience & half the price.

We wandered through to the river & Castelvecchio a castle ...

The absolute best part if my day was when Dave shucked out the bucks and took me on the Gondola Tour with singing and a history lesson. Alan was our gondola and his family has done this for three generations. This was the most relaxing and romantic part of the day. ...

... Dessert and coffee completed the debauch. I still can't believe we tried everything. The restaurant was located so far out in the country we almost didn't find it. Turned around at a neighboring farm where the owner was just fixin to milk the cows.
