... to wind our way along, remembering we are driving a Fiat Punto - not large, certainly not AWD, but roads clear and well maintained. Down down into the Alta Badia valley, glorious ski fields, typical mountain villages like you see in the movies!! We travel through Corvara and we now know we are close, 10 minutes and we arrive in Colfosco. Now to find our accommodation - that took about 30 minutes but all good. I think we are both ...

... a Ponte Vecchio built in 1204!! Wooden in structure and the view along the river is divine, Sunday afternoon and I think most of Bassano are in the city centre enjoying a beautiful afternoon.

Snow on the ground greeted us in Frankfurt. Nearly 1 1/2 miles through the airport and we reached our gate to Venice. After watching the wings get de-iced-we finally got underway. We walked around Padua this evening ... also known as Padova. It is quite cold but will be colder in the morning in Venice. We had Mass in a pretty chapel in the church of St. Plus X. Pictures are from Padua. Hope they will ...

... 1305 and considered one of the most important masterpieces of western art. Unfortunately you need to book to see this 3 days in advance (which I was aware) and you get 15 mins viewing time, it's probably just as good seeing a picture of it on the internet! I guess we can say that we saw the outside building. We continued down through the old part of town and came to a beautiful piazza - "Pratto Della Valle" it's the largest in Italy, with a large circular lake ...
