... exhausted but exhilarated. Fantastic dinner that night at the Hotel Centrale, venison for me and beef bourginone for John. Powered up and hoping for another great day tomorrow.
Not to be, snow snow snow fell all day and night, all day Friday as well with less visibility Friday. The amazing thing about the snow is how absolutely dry and fluffy it is and the fact that there is no wind. Particularly picturesque and it did not ...

What a pleasant surprise package this was. We stayed at a beautiful guest house in Valle Felicita owned by two gorgeous young Italians with 2 kids. It was a home away from home and as such we decided to stay 4 days. We had intended travelling to Venice from here but John has been unwell with flu so we stayed put so he could rest. The hosts put us in touch with a pharmacy that had Doctors working who ...

We just finished a delicious five course dinner and are bundling up again to go into the town square for New Year's Eve fireworks. Out Fitbits tell us that we walked over 4 miles today ... So ...

Snow on the ground greeted us in Frankfurt. Nearly 1 1/2 miles through the airport and we reached our gate to Venice. After watching the wings get de-iced-we finally got underway. We walked around Padua this evening ... also known as Padova. It is quite cold but will be colder in the morning in Venice. We had Mass in a pretty chapel in the church of St. Plus X. Pictures are from Padua. Hope they will ...

... for him to look for the biggest piece of ice he could find - next minute we hear this voice saying "how about this one" - there was Liam struggling to carry the biggest chunk of ice he could find then tossing it off the bridge for it to float off like an iceberg.
St Anthony's church was the next stop, a magnification church that is the site of his tomb. The patron saint of lost or stolen articles is the most popular saint among Catholics. Many people pilgrimage ...
