    ... to see some cows along the way - who had
    comendeered the road, and took their time getting out of our way. There is a huge memorial at the top - which is beautiful and poignant and quite moving. It was very sad to read all the names of such young young guys. Only a fraction of names though as that
    mountain saw 27,000 <--- not a typo....of soldiers die up there. It
    was super sad and just such a waste....

    ... of the grape, and then distilled and matured...of course more tasting...all over a lovely two hours in an absolute pristine environment...a mixture of classical and modern, the most beautiful bottles displaying a special drink!! Did we buy???? Of course...Tonight .... A big get together with Emmanuel..friend of John and Tom who had influence in arranging this lovely hotel. Ca' Sette...Google it! How lucky are ...

    ... There were lots of interesting places on the way and a few stops for refuelling to warm up! The cycle/walking track is off the main road so safe to use. As arranged we met the rest of our trekking group and leader for the trip, Diane, for all the final details. There are 6 of us from Tassie and another 6 Canadian and Americans.
