... we drove 3000 miles and really saw a lot.
We walked around the downtown for a short time. We shared a panini sandwich and each had a beer. This town is very hilly. I felt really lazy today and just wanted to go back to the hotel and rest. I didn't sleep well last night. We got to Face Time with all our children and grandchildren—yeah!!

We walked across the street for dinner tonight. We wanted fried calamari and a pizza. The guy who drug us into the restaurant assured us we could get calamari. We ordered the pizza and calamari, but it wasn't fried calamari. It was like something we'd never had before. It was delicious. It came in a stew of fish stock and red wine and so tender. I know you either flash fry squid or you stew it.

We made dinner reservations for a restaurant right across the street from our hotel. Our hotel, by the way, is lovely. I plan on spending most of my day tomorrow around the pool. I also have a 5:00 appointment with a masseuse for an hour and a half Thai massage. I can hardly wait.

We then headed down the mountain with similar issues to coming up. The views of the valley, in which Calvi is a part of, were spectacular.
