Finally. The ocean. Corsica's beautiful northern turquoise abyss provided soothing balm to the soul. Tears were shed as we wandered into the ocean, creating solace amidst the chaos, bringing light to dark. I had mournfully ached for the ocean amidst those mountains for the past six months. I loved those peaks, I stared in awe every day at the ever changing vista from our living room ...

Tuesday We arrived in Calvi on the eastern coast of Corsica, at lunchtime after a train trip south of Bastia then across the island to the opposite coast. It is a magical place, similar to Amalfi or Sorrento on the Italian coast, situated on a large bay, with lovely white sandy beaches. The old walled city sits on one side of the bay and above the city as it is now. We found our hotel and were delighted with our choice. The rooms are nice, gorgeous ...

... of the time in the water. We are amazed at how many people still smoke, and anywhere, especially the women. I'm surprised at how many French women have great legs, even the ones who are big everywhere else. John is surprised at how many women are topless at the beaches, even ones who have their kids with them. And they also put their bikini bottoms into their ........ Leaving lots of their bum cheeks showing. Guess if you've got great legs, ...
