      Spent most of the evening booking flights and accommodation in Barcelona, Lisbon, Madrid and Marrakech and Rome. Alan is joining me in Barcelona and will leave me in Rome.

      Trieste is a nice place. It lacks the madness of the larger Italian cities, and has more of a relaxed, homey feel to it. The city is fairly clean and very little pollution that i could see or smell. Now its onto Spain

      ... lots of new friends and getting loads of exercise.

      On the ship there's great entertainment and lots of activities. I joined the splash academy, which is activities for kids. It is really fun and i have already made new kid friends. One more thing, the music at the port was great. It was real dancing music.

      A very wet day as forecast so very glad we got the long journey out the way yesterday as the sea state looks very choppy today. After a trip to the airport to clear in and become legal we take a hire car and head to Grada. An old town in the flats that we had thought about sailing to but given the weather we thought better to go by road!
